MITO to the rescue !<\/p>\n<p>To help you see more clearly, here\u2019s our <strong>Sushi 101<\/strong> guide to all the different types of sushi.<\/p>\n<h2>What are the primary types of sushi ?<\/h2>\n<h3>Maki-sushi<\/h3>\n<p>Maki\u2019s are \u2013 like their name in Japanese indicates \u2013 \u2018sushi rolls\u2019. They are built with a roll of <a href=\"https:\/\/mito.ca\/en\/product\/toasted-seaweed\/\">toasted seaweed<\/a> and vinegar infused <a href=\"https:\/\/mito.ca\/en\/product\/calrose-rice-2-kg\/\">Calrose sushi rice<\/a> . With fish or without, with white cheese or without, with avocados or without\u2026everything is possible. In this way, it\u2019s very easy to find vegetarian or fish options.<\/p>\n<h3>Futomakis<\/h3>\n<p>In Japanese, <a href=\"https:\/\/mito.ca\/en\/sushis-menu\/?swoof=1&amp;type_de_produit=futomakis-en\">\u2018futomaki\u2019<\/a> signifies \u2018large maki\u2019. This is exactly what a futomaki is, a large maki.<\/p>\n<p>Futomakis are maki-sushi\u2019s with a diameter of 5 to 6 centimeters. They are toasted seaweed sheets rolled with different ingredients on the inside. As you might know, an extremely popular type of futomaki is the \u2018California roll\u2019 that contains cucumber, crab, avocado as well as the usual toasted seaweed and rice, all sprinkled with sesame seeds. MITO is proud to offer you a revisited version of this classic with a touch of masago and egg omelette.<\/p>\n<h3>Hosomakis<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mito.ca\/en\/sushis-menu\/?swoof=1&amp;type_de_produit=hosomakis-en\">Hosomaki\u2019s<\/a> are like the little brother of maki-sushi.<\/p>\n<p>With a less wide diameter (around 2-3 centimeters), they are the smallest of the maki-sushi. Therefore, they are the best starting point to perfect your maki rolling technique.<\/p>\n<h3>Nigiris<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mito.ca\/en\/sushis-menu\/?swoof=1&amp;type_de_produit=nigiris-sashimis-en\">Nigiris<\/a> are amongst the most well-known sushi.
